So this weekend was a lot of fun!!! We had rush week for Alpha Phi and got about 25 new girls to add to our 30 AMAZING actives! So first of all On Thursday I had to plan Pref but that went SO SMOOTHLY!!
Then on Friday we had Bid Day party, went to the Sigma Chi Dance Party at their house, made an appearance at the lame institute dance. Okay so institute dances would NOT be so lame if every song wasn't Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, or the Jonas Brothers. More people would probably attend. Then we went and saw sorority row at 12am. Cedar City is pretty cool about having midnight movies whenever a new movie is out. This movie was supposed to be scary, it was all boobs and the F word... but if you ignore that then it was really good. I did not think that it was too scary for the fact that it was more suspenseful then anything. You would scream and hide (or at least I did) during the parts you were supposed to... then laugh about how stupid it was!!! All of the audience were Greeks or friends of Greeks, and two random couples that probably thought we were super annoying... I am sorry.
On Saturday our wonderful male representative (Bordeaux beau [our male representative of Alpha Phi) Andrew, made us breakfast, then I went to brunch at denny's with my roomie Haley and Ashley who is bomb.com :) and it was a good time. Then in the evening I went to cafe rio (oh yeah Cedar has one of THOSE now! We are getting more civilized) with a few people and then we went to the highlight of my whole weekend! ELDER COOK SPOKE TO US!!! He came to a fireside and every word he said was so needed. I got something out of it that other people did not. If you saw my notes, you would say "where in the world did that come from" well it was certainly needed for me personally.
Sunday I went to church, and my roommate Haley got a little sickly but its all good.
Minus the fact that the majority of my house is sick, NOT ME :), everything is going well! I hope that this week is just as awesome as this past week was! Until next time folks!!!
These are pictures from Inductions. I was in charge of them and they went smoothly. I love being Chaplain. I hope some of the girls consider doing it and expanding more on what I have done, I have tried to expand on what amazing thing Leslie did, the Chaplain before me.
